Save Energy Window & Door Company, a family owned window and door replacement company headquartered in Petaluma, has been named the 2025 Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics winner in the 11 to 99 employee category. The award recognizes businesses that demonstrate integrity, transparency, and accountability in their relationships with customers, employees, vendors, and the community.

The award was officially presented at Save Energy’s showroom by the Better Business Bureau serving the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern Coastal California, honoring the company’s long standing commitment to ethical business practices.

Trusted Window & Door Replacement Company in the San Francisco Bay Area

Founded in 1983, Save Energy Window & Door Company has served homeowners throughout Sonoma, Napa, Marin, and San Francisco counties for more than four decades. The company is owned and operated by John Gorman, a longtime Petaluma resident, and remains locally run and family operated.

Save Energy specializes in the installation of replacement windows and exterior doors for homes 15 years and older. Services include custom windows, sliding glass doors, and entry doors, with each project beginning with a free, customized estimate designed around the homeowner’s needs and priorities.

Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics

The Better Business Bureau Torch Award for Ethics is one of the BBB’s highest honors. Award recipients are selected by an independent panel of judges made up of business leaders and community representatives from a wide range of industries.

For homeowners choosing a window and door contractor, this recognition provides added confidence. It reflects how a company operates day to day, from clear estimates and contracts to installation quality, warranty support, and long term service after the job is complete.

“This year’s Torch Award winners exemplify the highest standards of ethical business leadership,” said Alma Galvan, spokesperson for the Better Business Bureau serving the San Francisco Bay Area and Northern Coastal California. “These companies have earned the trust of their customers and communities through consistent, principled decision making, and we are proud to recognize their impact.”

Certified, Insured Window Installers with Lifetime Installation Warranty

Save Energy employs 24 full time team members, many of whom have been with the company for 5 to 25 years. All installers are certified, insured, and direct employees of the company rather than subcontractors, helping ensure consistent workmanship and accountability on every project.

“We’ve always believed that doing the right thing for customers is the only way to build a business that lasts,” said John Gorman, owner of Save Energy Window & Door Company. “Being recognized by the Better Business Bureau for ethics is especially meaningful because it reflects how we operate every day, not just what we say we do.”

Save Energy works with nationally recognized manufacturers including Simonton, Milgard, Marvin, and Therma Tru. In addition to manufacturer warranties, the company backs its work with a lifetime installation warranty, providing homeowners with long term peace of mind.

Save Energy Window & Door Company maintains an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau and has been Diamond Certified for 24 consecutive years. The company has earned more than 600 independently verified customer surveys and consistently receives five star ratings on Google and Yelp.
