What are Replacement Windows?
We get it: when our technicians start talking about a “retrofit window”, people’s eyes start to glaze over. They’re not really sure what that means. A retrofit window goes over the existing window on the outside. Before we install your replacement windows, we add foam insulation in order to isolate the aluminum from your old windows. Then we put vinyl trim on the inside in order to cover the foam insulation. With this process, you would never be able to tell that the old aluminum is there. Voila! You’ve got a brand new window.

Not every project goes smoothly. In some cases, our technicians may find dry rot behind your old windows during our installation. If the rot isn’t too bad, we can do the dry rot repairs ourselves. But in cases where the rotting is more extensive, you may need to hire a structural contractor in order to repair the damage.
When we find dry rot behind your windows, we will let you know about the problem before proceeding with our work so that it can be dealt with correctly.
